Who it is for

For people who want to do the work.

01You want a data jobAnalyst, in a sector you care about: e-commerce, finance, marketing or health. The projects are companies in that sector, with their own data.
02You have a few hours a weekOne project at a time, no deadlines. Each one shows its estimated hours before you start, and your path waits for you where you left it.
03You are done watchingEvery step is checked on your own work. You cannot skip ahead, and you never wonder what comes next.
A Data Analyst project open in the dashboard: the lesson list on the left, the lesson on the right

Your sector, your path.

Four questions, then five projects built around the job you want: SQL, Python, one dashboard in the tool you pick, a capstone, and your job search run like a project. Each one is a company in your sector (e-commerce, finance, marketing or health) with its own dataset.

Ships to your portfolio.

Every project ends with a seven-question interview script, so you can explain it out loud, then publishes itself to your page. A recruiter opens the work itself: the chart, the query, the write-up.

How a project works

Four steps, every time.

The same shape for all five projects, so the second one feels familiar and the fifth feels like work you have done before.

Step 1A company and its dataA real dataset, a business question, the context a manager would give you.
Step 2Tasks, checkedSQL, Python, then a dashboard in the tool you pick. Each task is checked before the next unlocks.
Step 3The interview scriptSeven questions on what you just did, so you can explain it out loud to a recruiter.
Step 4It ships to your portfolioThe finished project publishes itself to your page, with the chart and the write-up.
Students

What students say.

02
“I started on Coursera, but what I really wanted was projects that go straight into a portfolio. This is exactly that. I have learned a lot more by shipping than I ever did watching lectures.”
Kyle B. · Data Analyst student
03
“I learn far more this way than with YouTube tutorials or online courses. You are forced to actually do the work, so it sticks.”
Rachel M. · Data Analyst student
Cohort

You do not do it alone.

Everyone who starts in the same month is that month's class, with its own channel on the D8A Discord: same start, same projects, people at the same step as you. When a query will not run, you post it there, and other members or Marius, the founder, answer.

Other paths

Not an analyst? Three other routes.

Each with its own 5-minute intro. Not sure? The two-minute quiz places you.

Questions

Before you start.

Do I need to know SQL, or to install anything?
No and no. The path starts from the first SELECT, and the SQL editor runs in your browser. The 5-minute intro above is lesson one. For the Python projects you work in a Jupyter notebook on your machine; the lesson walks you through the setup.
How long does it take?
That depends on your hours. The path is five projects; each shows its estimated hours before you start, and your progress is saved where you left it. It is built for one project at a time, a few hours a week.
Is there a certificate at the end?
No. You finish with a portfolio page of real projects, each with an interview script, which is what you show a recruiter. It is a different route to the same goal.
What does it cost?
The intro is free. The full path is a monthly pass you can cancel anytime; the price shows at sign-up, with the welcome offer for new members.
Am I on my own?
No. Members who start in the same month form that month's cohort, with its own channel on the D8A Discord. You ask there when you are stuck, and you see other people at the same step as you.

Your first query,
